Mask Making

Today we went to Kelvingrove to an African mask making workshop. We started by going to the gallery to look at African masks and had a talk about what different types of masks were used for. We learned a lot about who makes masks and why and what the different types of masks mean.

We then went into the learning centre to make our own masks. We drew round different templates then made our own designs on the inside. We used oil pastels and tissue paper to make our masks look scary!

Well I hope I don't meet anybody from P3/4 on a dark night with their mask on.
