The Power of Colour

Today we were at Kelvingrove for a workshop called 'The Power of Colour'. We were taken to the African exhibits in the museum where we looked at the different colours used in some original African art work. We learned about primary and secondary colours and how to mix colours to make different colours.

We then used oil pastels to draw our own pictures and finished off the session by creating a piece of art on the floor to look like a painting on the wall. One of our groups was very clever and used a person in their art work as well as all the materials we'd been given. Our leader, Pauline, said no class has ever done that before so we must be very clever!
